I'm Alexandra Hoefinger,

a front-end web developer in NYC

Formerly an English teacher, I transitioned to a career in programming out of an interest in creating and building things on the web. Now as Front-End Developer with experience at both large-scale companies and startups, I love writing JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for client-side web applications. Most recently I worked at URBN in Philadelphia, where I collaborated with a team of engineers to rebuild the e-commerce platform and web interfaces for Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie.

In addition to leading workshops at a number of local tech events, I'm also actively involved with Girl Develop It as an instructor and volunteer. When I'm not spending my time hacking on web projects, I work on lots of handmade craft projects and blog about them at philodendron.co.
